"Good Faith" is a phrase in the Emancipation Proclamation, the document that begins to center the abolition of the enslavement of Black people in the United States of America. As we approach Juneteenth, the National Holiday that celebrates the liberation of enslaved Black Americans, we also consider Father's Day and what it means to be forever free for Black families. We also understand that the process of Black freedom requires as much reflection as celebration.
