Nerdy Thursdays | November 21st 2019
Special Edition
New-York Historical Society | 170 Central Park West NY, NY 10024 | 6:30-9:30pm
Nerdy Thursdays returns to the New-York Historical Society for a conversation themed on Black Wall Street; presented by the Black Gotham Experience in partnership with the Morehouse Manhattan Alumni Association.
This evening will compare the Black history connected with the Wall Street in New York City and Greenwood Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma, also known as Black Wall Street, where an affluent African American community was thriving until undone by a two-day race riot in 1921.
These associated histories will serve as a frame for a discussion on the importance of Black entrepreneurship and ownership.
