Delving into the overlooked history of Black land ownership in pre-19th century New York City, this Nerdy Thursdays combines curated exhibits of maps, documents, and archives with a presentation on research findings regarding Black land ownership and dispossession. Interactive discussions provide insight into this crucial aspect of the city's past featuring an artist panel with Kamau Ware, Adrian Franks and Pope Phoenix.
